While reading Ben Hammot's website (http://www.benhammott.com/ I came across the advertisment for the "Bloodline" movie again. Apart from the fact that this movie now promises since .. well, since when? One year, two? to shatter our perceptions etc. I am looking forward to it, because I expect it to be a good forgery at least.

Anyway, here is the "leaked" clip on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiQWUH1HNa4. Leaked is in parenthesis because I think the internet is the only platform where the makers of "Bloodlines" can generate interest without spending too much money. Apart form that, if it was really leaked, it would be easy for the creators of the movie to have the clip removed from "YouTube". So, yeah, "leaked".

Have a good look at the treasure chest in the clip. If you had to date it, what would you say? Is it from big J himself. Bigou, Sauniere or is it something that has been created only a short while ago? From the looks of it I think it can't be much older than 100 years, but I am no expert in treasure chests. Have a look at chests from the different ages and you'll know why I am reluctant to date the chest back a few hundred years.

I've been fortunate enough to watch the movie in the meantime. Well done, but I simply don't buy everything. I do think that there is a bit of truth mixed in, though, but I just can't buy the whole story.

I'll watch it again soon and come up with a few better arguments and a synopsis.
